What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that connects AI assistants to tools and data. SLINK supports MCP as both a client and a server.

As a user

Add external MCP servers to extend SLINK with custom tools — from Settings → "MCP server".

As a developer

SLINK exposes an MCP server that lets any MCP client talk to the SLINK assistant and its capabilities. A simple configuration:
